Radio Frequency Interference (RFI)
1) A type of electromagnetic interference (EMI) with a high enough frequency to affect radio and television reception. The term includes both conducted and radiated emissions.
2) The term RFI is sometimes used to refer to radiated emissions only, with conducted emissions referred to as EMI.
Rapid Charge
A charge time for nickel based batteries that is between a slow charge and a fast charge (typically 3 to 6 hours).
Recombination
A feature of sealed batteries in which the gasses normally formed within the battery cell during its operation are recombined to form water rather than vented to the atmosphere.
Residual capacity
The charge capacity remaining in a battery prior to charge.
